Bodrock.tv Pound Melting Workout
So this is a workout that was posted last week but I believe I did Dan's workout that night, so I'm catching up with the other Bodyrockers.
The routine is as follows (and this now seems retarded short compared to the insanity workouts. It's pretty much what your warmup is):
12 minutes-12 rounds total (10 sec/50 sec intervals)-Max reps
-reptile toe touch push up
-sandbag side lunge (left)
-sandbag side lunge (right)
-crab fighter (left)
-crab fighter (right)
-sandbag squat
So my first round was pretty much a practice round. I didn't intend for it to be, but a lot of the moves were new to me so I wasted too much time trying to get the hang of the moves, even though i had worked on them yesterday. They weren't sticking in my swiss cheese brain for some reason. I was focusing so hard on doing the moves correctly that I kept losing count of how many I was doing, so I have nothing to compare my score to when I do the workout again, but oh well. I'm sure I will do better next time. The reptile toe touch pushups were awkward for me. I could do it well with my left foot/right arm, but the opposite felt weird. not sure if maybe it's something to do with being right handed. Who knows. Nonetheless, I ended up doing 3 circuits total, but that first one was messed up so in reality, it was only 2 as the routine calls for.
I added 10 medicine ball get ups and 8 knee jumps at the end just because I didn't feel as tired as I typically am after a workout. I'm finally getting good at knee jumps! I feel much more balanced when I pop up to my feet. A lot less leaning forward. YAY! I love making progress :)
P.S. There is a big 'ol fly that made it's way into our bedroom :-( It's driving me, zoe, and bella nuts! I wish it would find it's way through the transom window that goes to the office. I can't handle the buzzzzzzing.

As retarded short your workout was it still looks difficult. I checked it out the other day. It seems a lot different then what she normally does. I would love if my workouts were that short ha. And those knee jumps are H A R D! I'm so happy you're getting progress! See now if we just skipped our workouts we'd still be at square 1. Plus we'd be bitching about how gross we are ;) What are the medicine ball get ups? Is that sit ups on the ball?
And talk about the annoying fly. I was at work today (SHOCKER!!) and we have a ton of fruit flies in our back area and employee dinning room. So gross. Hope you're rid of the fly.
