She's Aliiiiiive!

Not only have I been lazy about updating my blog, I also took an entire week off from exercising. What a sack of lazy bones! Lack of motivation and feeling like a tub of goo is horseshit. Moving on.....

So as we both agreed, we are back in workout mode starting this week! HOOORAY We had our break, now we have to continue working towards this :)
My week thus far:
Monday I felt like total crapola. Called in sick and slept a good portion of the day. I was getting stir crazy around the time Dan left for work so I mustered up the energy to go for a bike ride. The weather was beautiful so I couldn't resist. I only put in 10 miles then called it quits. Later that night I did the "tight cheeks" bodyrock workout. I remember this one making my ass hurt the first time I did it and Monday was no different. As we discussed via text messages, it's a good kind of pain. The 1 leg half squats on the medicine ball w/the sandbag gets me every time.

Tuesday-Amazing Fat Burn Workout. I'm either a major sissy or this workout truly is harder than it looks.

Part 1: 4 minutes-16 rounds of 9 sec/6 sec. During the 9 seconds you do as many high knees as you can. 6 second interval allows enough time for 2 commando pushups. I had quite a bit of momentum on the first 6 rounds maybe but then I started to slow down. Geesh, that is early to be getting tired. I was pushing sooooo hard. I wasn't about to give in and rest so I powered through.

Part 2: 12 sets (time challenge)
-10 squats w/sandbag (25 lbs)
-4 reptile 1 leg pushups

I think Zoe thought I was in need of help based on my breathing from about the middle of the 12 reps. She was looking at me with concern in her eyes.  After I was done with the workout I caught my breath then did 10 pistol grip pullups. As you know, my goal is to be able to do 20 consecutive pull ups.

Wednesday- I took the night off. It was a crazy day at work which was exhausting plus I had a massive headache and massive cramps most of the day.

P.S. Tim came over on Sunday to watch the fights and helped us finish the assembly of the new power rack. Once it was together Dan and I did some pull ups. Tim had to show off and do windshield wipers. He made them look easy peasy. I attempted to do ONE windshield wiper yesterday and failed miserably. I need to work towards being able to do them. They look pretty sweet and are amazing for core strength.
FYI, I just googled windshield wipers and came across this dude that does a bunch of parkour stuff. This is nuts. Talk about core strength.

Omg it that perfect ass picture. I was looking at that the other day. I have it on my phone =) I just want to thank you for being a rock for me. You make me happy knowing that you're there when I need you. I don't understand why I have these slump but damn it there are not worth it. I told steve about the 5K and he's so in =) I'm excited for this and I'll train for it. I also told him about Tim and his windshield wipers. I think he wants to see if he can do them too.
